Camp Green Dickson

Green Dickson is the great scout camp located in our district. It is just shy of 400 acres with 17 campsites, 2 group camping areas, 7 backpacking campsites, 5 miles in trails (including a 4 mile loop system), 2 full use bath houses, 4 outhouses, riffle and shotgun range, and 2 tanks (1 has fish and a new one in the back of camp that will one day).

Green Dickson is home to many of our district events as well as NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training). The main campsite area that most people are aware of is just a small part of the camp. Recent improvements have opened up the back part of camp. We now have a creek crossing for easy access to the back which has made it possible for the large trail system and backpacking campsites. The trails are all there but we are constantly making improvements. Minor brush clearing and more signs will be coming soon.

Green Dickson is getting some great updates

These include pavilions in every campsite (of which 10 already have them) and the Silver Pines pavilion and tractor shed is getting remodeled to be a kitchen and much larger pavilion.

Check out the photos on the right. More updates to come.

  • The trail entrances are well marked and more markers are being installed. This is the entrance to the white trail. An easy 0.2 mile trail right in the middle of camp. Don't miss the twisted oak while on the trail.
